G-Power Supercharges the BMW M3 E46 and Z4M to 450HP

This time, BMW 'super tuner' G-Power has turned its attention on two previous generation 'M' sports cars, the M3 E46 and the Z4M with the presentation of a somewhat tamer performance package than what we're used to from the German company. At the heart of the tuning program is a new large ASA TM I 20 centrifugal supercharger that boosts the M3 and Z4M 3.2-liter straight-six engine's output from 343HP and 365Nm to 450HP and 450Nm or 331.9 lb-ft of torque.

The 107 horsepower boost helps improve acceleration from standstill to 200km/h or 124mph from the standard M3 E46 Coupe's 18,1 seconds to 14,7 seconds, making it even faster than the current 420HP-strong M3 V8 that needs 15.8 seconds for the same sprint.

To improve road handling, the performance package for both the M3 E46 and Z4M include a continuously height-adjustable G-Power coil-over suspension RS with nine selectable settings each for bound and rebound.

The M division sports cars ride on lightweight 20-inch alloy wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Sport tires (245/30 ZR 20 at the front and 285/25 ZR 20 at the back) that allow a top speed of more than 300km/h or 187mph.

Though not included in the basic package, G-Power also offers a sports rear muffler that produces a deeper and more sonorous tone.

G-Power Receives First Batch of BMW M3 GTS Coupes, Expect at Least 600HP

With 450HP on tap, the limited edition BMW M3 GTS is not only more powerful than the stock M3, but it’s also lighter and comes with a full-blown racing suspension, making it arguably the best 3-Series model of its generation.

Nevertheless, famed BMW tuner G-Power thinks something’s missing, namely “the ultimate output”. That’s why the Autenzell-based specialist will modify three GTS models, two of which have already arrived at its headquarters in Germany.

G-Power’s SK II CS “Sporty Drive” supercharger will be adapted to work with the 4.4-liter V8 engine pushing output to over 600HP. There’s no word on any other upgrades, but buyers can expect an improved braking system and additional chassis tweaks.

In any case, G-Power is confident that the spiced up M3 GTS will give the Porsche 911 GT3 RS a run for its money. "After this modification the BMW M3 GTS can finally show the armada of Porsche 911 GT3 RS who’s the boss at the various clubsport racing events," said G-Power in a statement.

We’d say that's to be seen, but time will surely clarify this dilemma.

G-Power’s BMW M5 HURRICANE GS is the World's Fastest LPG-Powered Car

After the standard BMW M5 and M6 Hurricane editions, BMW tuning specialists G-Power has now released a more eco-friendly iteration of the same package, in the form of the LPG-powered Hurricane M5 GS.

The German firm's engineers performed several modification to the M5 and M6 Hurricane's 5.0-liter bi-supercharged V10 engine which now comes with one fully sequential five-cylinder LPG system per cylinder bank. G-Power says the benefits of LPG fuel are both economical and ecological in nature, as LPG is not only around 50 percent less expensive per liter than petrol, it also reduces CO2 emissions by about 15 percent.

As an added bonus, the V10 is slightly more powerful than its gasoline counterpart producing 660-horsepower (+25HP) and 650Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.

The M5 Hurricane GS can go from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 4.6 seconds and reach the 200 km/h (124 mph) mark in 11.4 seconds, while topping out at 333 km/h (207 mph), which, according to the tuning firm, makes it the world’s fastest LPG-powered car.

For improved stability and handling, the sports saloon has been fitted with a G-Power RS coil-over sport suspension, high performance braking system and lighter, 20-inch Silverstone Clubsport alloys, clad in 255/35 front and 285/30 rear tires.

New BMW Z4 Roadster Receives the G-POWER Treatment

The Germans at G-Power have released their first take on the second generation BMW Z4 E89 hardtop-roadster. The tuning firm's performance package for the new Z4 includes a power kit for the sDrive 35i's 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline six engine along with suspension and wheel/tire upgrades. We suspect that it won't be long before G-Power unleashes a 400HP+ beast based on the Z4 but until then, let's see in detail what the company has prepared for the German roadster starting off with the engine kit.

The Z4 sDrive 35i's twin-turbocharged inline six benefits from the BI-TRONIK performance module that that pushes the factory engine's output from a standard 306HP and 400Nm (295-lbs/ft) of torque to a more satisfying 345HP and 480Nm (354-lbs/ft) of torque. G-Power claims that with this kit, the 345HP Z4 Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.7 seconds, or half a second faster than the factory model.

BMW Z4 G-POWER - CARSCOOPG-Power's offerings also include a new coil-over suspension and a more sonorous stainless steel sport rear muffler with four tail pipes. While the tuning firm has not released any type of aero parts (yet), Z4 owners can equip their car with a new set of 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport rubber (255/30 ZR 20 up front and 295/25 ZR 20 at the rear).

And now for the prices. The cost for the 20 inch alloy wheels along with the Michelin tires is €4,474 while the coil-over suspension is €1,256 and the rear muffler, €1,508. As for the engine kit, prices have been set at €1,978 but unless you know your way around the engine bay, you'll have to pay another €403 to get it installed.

G-Power Transfers BMW M5 Hurricane RR Supercharger Tech to the E85 Z4 Roadster

German tuner G-Power has decided to share some of the technology found on the 800-horsepower M5 Hurricane RR and M6 Hurricane RR with the masses by offering a modified version of the supercharger system on the [previous generation] E85 BMW Z4 as well as the E46 Series with the 3.0-liter straight-six engine. On both models, the redesigned SK Plus supercharger system replaces the previous ASA TM3 supercharger.

The geometry of the compressor has been modified as has the housing, resulting in a more efficient build-up of boost in the middle rev-range. With a 0.3 bar pressure boost, the SK Plus kit increases output by 55 ponies, to 286 hp and 345 Nm (255 lb-ft). Thanks to the extra oomph, the tuned Z4 accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.4 seconds.

To be able to wring out every bit of performance delivered through force induction, the German tuner recommends customers to specify their cars with a 9-way adjustable coil-over sport suspension. 20-inch multi-spoke Silverstone Diamond alloys, wrapped around in 245/30 front and 285/25 rear Michelin tires, can be ordered, too. For a more ferocious roar, G-Power can provide a new, hand-built rear silencer, with matching tail pipes.

Granted, these changes don’t transform the Z4 SK Plus into a Hurricane killer, but the tuner charges only €2.500 (VAT excluded) for the performance upgrade, which as we mentioned previously, is also available for the E46 BMW 3 Series.

G-POWER BMW M6 Hurricane CS: Fastest BMW Coupe in the World Achieves 370km/h - 231mph

For BMW tuning aficionado G-Power, there's no such thing as enough power or too much speed. Having already pushed the limits on the M5 Sedan and more recently, the X5 SUV, the German tuner focused its resources on the development of an even more extreme and powerful edition of the 635HP M6 Hurricane. Called the Hurricane CS, the M6 Coupe-based model uses an upgraded version of the M5 Hurricane's 730HP twin-turbocharged V10 that delivers an output of 750HP allowing the supercar to reach a top speed of 370km/h or 231mph.

G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane CS - CarscoopTo achieve the record breaking speed (for a production BMW coupe), Michelin provided a set of special high performance Pilot Sport PS2 in sizes 255/35 ZR 19 in front and 305/30 ZR 19 on the rear axle. For everyday use, G-Power offers the M6 with 21-inch Silverstone Diamond wheels shod in 255/30 ZR 21 (front) and 295/25 ZR 21 (rear) tires that are for use up to 340 km/h or 211mph.

Further development of the M5 Hurricane's V10 engine that included optimized mapping of the ECU and redesigned superchargers contributed to the increased power output of 750 horsepower available between 7,500 and 8,000 rpm, and the peak torque of 800Nm or 590 lb-ft at 5,000 rpm.

G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane CS - CarscoopAt the same time G-POWER put the BMW M6 on a diet by replacing the entire exhaust system with one made from titanium that allegedly weighs 24 kg or 53lbs less than the factory exhaust while the new carbon fiber seats in the interior, save another 24kg (12kg or 26.5 lbs each seat).

The 750Hp V10 and the weight saving measures help the Hurricane CS sprint from zero to 100km/h or 62mph in 4.4 seconds, to 200km/h or 124mph in 9.6 seconds and to 300 km/h or 187mph in just 26 seconds.

Stopping power is provided by a Carbon-Ceramic break system with 6-piston calibres and brake discs with 380 mm in diameter, that is 50% lighter than the standard brakes. There's also a height-adjustable G-POWER coil-over RS suspension with nine selectable settings each for bound and rebound and the G-POWER anit-roll-bar kit for the front and rear axles.

G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane CS - CarscoopOther modifications on the G-Power M6 Hurricane CS include the multipart widebody aero kit that consists of new fenders, restyled bumpers, hood vents, carbon fiber spoilers and rear diffuser.

In the cabin, aside from the carbon-fiber sports seats, the Hurricane CS also gets a new speedometer with 400-km/h scale, clear-coated carbon-fiber panels for the dash, center console and doors, as well as a new sport steering wheel dressed in perforated Kjerba Nappa leather.

And the price for all of this? According to G-Power, a fully converted Hurricane CS starts at €360,000 or the equivalent of US$477,500.

G-Power Creates the BMW M6 Hurricane RR, Says it's the World's Fastest 4-Seater Coupe

Never content with BMW's factory offerings, renowned German tuner G-Power has presented its latest accomplishment in the form of the new M6 Hurricane RR, which it claims to be the "world's fastest 4-seat Coupé".

While based on the outgoing BMW M6 Coupé, the Hurricane RR Coupe adopts the V10 bi-supercharger engine from G-Power's M5 Hurricane RR, which delivers 800-horsepower between 7,500 and 8,000 rpm, and a maximum torque of 800 Nm (or 590 lb-ft) generated at 5,000 rpm.
