With Porsche and Lamborghini unveiling the 918 Spyder Concept and Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera yesterday, Ferrari didn't want to be left alone. Today, Ferrari unveiled its HY Kers Concept 2010, a sports Hybrid, based on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.

Power like a big V6, fuel economy like a modest four-cylinder unit – Audi presents the A8 hybrid as a technology concept at the Geneva Motor Show. Its two propulsion units – a 2.0 TFSI and an electric motor – develop a total output of 245PS of system power and 480 Nm (354.03 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the Audi A8 hybrid to accelerate in 7.6 seconds from zero to 62mph and to achieve a top speed of 146mph. Yet average economy amounts to up to 45.6mpg – the CO2 equivalent is 144 grams per km.

The Ascari A10 race prototype was produced with the help of ex-Formula One designer, Paul Brown to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the company. Like the KZ1, the A10 features a 5.0-litre BMW V8 - this time producing 625 BHP via a six-speed sequential manual gearbox, and with a top speed of 220mph. The A10 features the same carbon-fibre chassis as the KZ1, with clamshell bodywork, FIA-specification roll cage and racing suspension. As a racing prototype, luxuries like soundproffing, air conditioning and stereo system have been removed, wit hthe car purely focused on performance and handling. The A10 featured on the BBC's 'Top Gear' in December 2007, where Jeremy Clarkson described it as a "a staggering car ... like a Koenigsegg but a million times more manageable".

Ford Focus 2011 made its worldwide debut at Detroit Auto Show 2010. The new Focus will be one of up to 10 unique models to be built from Ford’s new C-car platform, which is expected to generate total sales worldwide of upto two million units annually by 2012. The first of these will be the new Ford C-MAX and Ford Grand C-MAX – unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show – for launch in Europe in the second half of 2010.
